Home Based Stuttering Therapy

For some people it can be quite daunting to attend a one-to-one speech course. Having a stutter can have a debilitating affect on a person’s overall confidence and therefore to book onto such a course is not suitable for everybody.
 
Other people who stutter, struggle to obtain a decent career due to the fact that they have a speech impediment. I remember only too well having some terrible experiences at certain job interviews; one particular was when I struggled to say even a single word when attempting to answer the interviewer’s questions.

I was not successful at gaining employment at this interview, I wonder why? These struggles can mean that the course fee plus the cost of the additional hotel fees, have the affect of making the speech course too expensive.
 
The location of the course (in Birmingham, UK) can also be another reason why people are unable to attend.
 
I have many e-mails and telephone calls each week from people who for the above and other reasons feel that a one-to-one speech course is not suitable for them.

For this reason I have now produced a course notes booklet which is available in the form of an e-book or in paper format, as well as a seventy minute DVD.

The stuttering DVD can be purchased as an automatic download or people can have the hard copy posted to them. As an additional alternative there is also the option of purchasing the seventy minute film in the form of an audio book.
 
People are now therefore able to learn how to achieve fluency from the comfort of their own home in a form of stuttering self therapy.
 
People who purchase the course notes, DVD or audio book are invited to keep in regular contact with me as a way of continued support. This is where I answer any questions that arise and also offer additional advice where necessary.
